in the shadows ahead,
a little light shining through,
i walk towards it,
trying so hard to get to the light,
yet,
the Darkness keeps pulling me back,
back into the black abyss,
grabbing me first by the feet,
i walk a step forward,
now its up to my ankles,
another step,
it reaches up to my knees,
now to my waist.
I cant move anymore,
the darkness is to strong for me to move on,
as i try to move another step forward,
the Darkness moves up to my chest,
wrapping itself around my arms,
Finally grabbing my neck and wrapping itself around me tightly.
Choking me,
i finally fall on my knees,
Gasping for breath,
i crawl towards the light,
inch by inch, i get there,
Struggling with the darkness around me.
getting closer to the light,
i fight with all my might,
for i feel warmth on me for the first time in my life,
getting closer, the darkness starts unraveling itself off me,
the light is to bright for it.
i can breath again,
for the darkness has vanished down to my ankles,
in the few inches ahead of me,
i fight with the rest of my strength i have left.
I have finally made it,
made it into the light,
out of the darkness at last.
i feel strong and refreshed,
after all i have been through,
and after all that i did to get here,
i feel like i can do anything now.
The Darkness has no effect on me anymore......
